What is Abacus ?
Abacus is a calculating device which is used
to do basic mathematical operations. It is a manually operated
tool with five beads in each rod .The abacus itself doesn't
calculate; it's simply a device for helping a human being to
calculate by remembering what has been counted. The modern
Chinese abacus, which is still widely used in China and other
countries, dates from about 1200 A.D.
What is Vedic Maths ?
Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of
Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between
1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960).
According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen
Sutras, or word-formulae.
